Where religion stops, wisdom starts!!!!!

My status on FB - Where religion stops, wisdom starts

And this statement triggered an unusual conversation with an advocate of specific religion (Referred as AOR in below conversation)

Me - Where religion stops, wisdom starts.
Advocate of Religion: where Human wisdom stops God's wisdom starts...
Me - The above comment justifies my original statement - Wisdom starts only where religion stops....
AOR: But God is the one who created Wisdom..
Me - And now you will say that God's wisdom can be captured in a 200-300 pages book, which had never been understood by so called advocates of religion.
AOR: Are you saying that God doesn't exist.
Me - Did I ever say that in our conversation till now?
AOR: But you said that wisdom starts when religion stops.
Me - So does it indicate that I said God doesn't have wisdom?
AOR: I think so!!
Me - And thats how you understood your religion.
AOR: Now you are insulting GOD....God will never forgive you. One day, you will come in the feet of GOD, and he will relieve you from all your pains.
Me: Are you already in the feet of 'your' God?
AOR: Yes...I have been...and I will be forever
Me: And you had been relieved from all your pains right?
AOR: What do you mean by that?
Me: I have got my answer my dear friend, and trust me you will find the answer of above question from your God....Tell me the name of single religion which was introduced by the God himself....

Conclusion: AOR removed me from his/her friend list....

Note: The post is not to hurt feelings of anyone.

  1. Belief, the founding stone of any religion, works only when one takes the preachings of a prophet or a book without any hesitation or willingness to actually validate its sayings. Every holy book contains its fair share of human atrocities, xenophobia, slavery and fear mongering. Once we abandon such bronze age mythologies and live a good life, helping others there is no need for any religion at all. I appreciate your ability to think critically and dispassionately. And if some people reject you for your simple questioning of something they believe in, it shows how shallow they are. Kudos.

  3. Yes ofeence to certain people, such advocates of religion are idiots. I do not say God is non-existant, nor do I say he exists, but such crap in the name of God is what is religion today and she or he just proved your point and proved it really well i must say......

Nice post! Awakening, in a sense.

  4. Many confuse God with Religion. The latter can be one of the tools to experience the former!

  6. Why people behave like this in the name of religion which btw is there to make you a better human being and I think every religion teaches you tolerance which was not surely not evident in his case....

    1. And you would not find this 'tolerance' in any case...

  7. I believe in following my religion. But I also believe in respecting every individual. So, I am religious and also have wisdom. And I dont entertain people who spread religion or force others! Hence, for me, understanding the human nature is a religion and thus i have all the wisdom.

    1. Interesting. Where blind following of books stops there the mind connects directly to the universal wisdom. I wish you would read the first 12 posts in my blog which synthesises all religions. To accept all words you require to stop limiting yourself with fear into one book and look up absorb coming back without fear and with new understanding of the old words.

    2. @Swats: Thanks for dropping your thoughts on this page.

@Jerly: True...limitation stops those AORs to think beyond the book..and also make their thinking conservative revolving around one book.

  8. Nice article.. For me Religion is nothing but a tool to divide humanity in the name of GOD. I found below lines from "Madhushala" really close to my idea of humanity and religion.
